Bible-believing Baptist Church. We desire to communicate the saving message of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. It is our privilege to be part of a special union that God has brought together in one place. Our congregation is composed of believers from various ethnic, economic, and social backgrounds. Pastoral Staff
Steve Lyon is the founding pastor. The church began in 1992 as a church plant from Bible Baptist Church of West Chester while under the leadership of Dr. E. Allen Griffith. He was saved at the age of 17 while still in high school. He is a 1981 graduate of East High School (West Chester). After two years of study at Penn State University, he transferred to Bible School. He is a 1988 graduate of Bible Baptist School of Theology, West Chester, Pennsylvania. He was ordained into the gospel ministry that same year.
He has served in leadership positions with the Pennsylvania Baptists for Life & Families (Chairman), and the American Council of Christian Churches (Executive Council). He currently serves on the Council of Ten for the Pennsylvania Association of Regular Baptist Churches. He married Mary Tomkiewicz in 1986 and they have four children: Gabrielle (married to Ethan Williams), Brigette (married to Nathan Klein), Garrett (married to Jessica Rosales), Benjamin and one grandson (Austin Klein).
Charlie Noble is our associate pastor. He was saved at the age of 12. After working as an engineer for over 35 years, the Lord has led him into the ministry. He has a degree in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University (1995), as well as a Theological Studies degree from Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary (2014).
He has served as a deacon at Bible Baptist for approximately 15 years and has been teaching the Sunday Adult Bible Study for 15 years. He currently teaches science at Liberty Baptist Academy and works part-time as an engineer. He married Lynn Kirkland in 1982; they have four adult children and six grandchildren.
